Solid Wood Hoop
All hoops used in North Village are 1.5cm in height and are made of beech solid wood.
The hoops are sanded and polished twice, giving them a smooth and equal surface.
These features set them apart from the standard bamboo hoops (0.8cm height) commonly available on the market.
Our solid wood hoops are handcrafted to perfection and will become a luxurious and timeless addition to your space.

High-gloss Copper Plated Lock
A high-gloss copper-plated lock secures each piece of the solid wood hoop.
The copper-plated lock is long-lasting and does not fade, ensuring that the hoop will survive in any condition.
The golden appearance of the copper-plated lock blends nicely with the solid wood hoop, giving it a luxurious appearance.
100% Hand-drawn on Cotton Fabric
The Canting process (the process of applying hot liquid wax onto the fabric) is 100% hand-drawn by our skilled batik artisans. As each line and stroke is created entirely by hand, no two pieces will be identical. This indicates that the batik you purchased is one-of-a-kind.
Painting will be a breeze with our selection of absorbent cotton fabric.
Solid Wood Display Stand
All North Village hoops fit perfectly on our custom-made solid wood display stand. To achieve a seamless appearance as the hoop, beech wood was chosen as the stand's material.
The stand is made from a single piece of solid wood, preserving the grain and feel of the wood. It features a thick and stable base. As the stand is custom-made, the hoop fits nicely in the slot without covering any of the artwork.
In our efforts to be an eco-conscious and sustainable business, we encourage our customers to repurpose it as a stand for their phone or electronic tablet when not in use to display the hoop. You may choose to display your phone or electronic tablet horizontally or vertically, depending on your preference.

24 Wells Dye Palette With Cover
A 24 wells dye palette is given to meet the various needs of a painter. This allows the painter to mix as many colours as the dye palette can hold.
Each well in this palette can accommodate approximately 25ml of dye liquid and measures 21cm (L) x 10cm (W) x 2cm (H). It is made to last, and with proper care, it will serve you well for a long time.
When not in use as a dye palette, it can be repurposed as a storage container for tiny items (i.e. coins, jewelry, buttons).

Nylon Paint Brushes
Our painters will receive 5 nylon paintbrushes to help them bring their work to life. There are 3 types of brushes included in the kit: round, flat, and angle.
Round - Ideal for filling in smaller areas, as well as linework. By changing the pressure on the brush, it is easy to vary from thin to thick lines.
Flat - Ideal for filling in large spaces. By using the edge of the brush, it is also possible to make fine lines.
Angle - Ideal for making curved lines and filling in corners where the tip can easily reach.
The bristle is made of nylon, so they are smooth, flexible, and easy to clean.
They are crimped with a copper ferrule (tube) to keep them tight in place. It can withstand long baths when you clean your brushes, without the ferrule breaking or the bristles falling out.
The handle is made of solid wood that has been coated with an eco-friendly varnish.

Sponge Brush
In addition to the nylon brushes, a sponge brush is great for filling up a large space especially when you want to work on a large area.
It is made of high-density foam, which has excellent absorption properties and so reduces drips while in use. The sponge head has a little plastic portion that makes it difficult to bend and break.
The lightweight wooden handle is durable and comfortable to hold. It is made of material that is eco-friendly, non-toxic, and odorless. Wooden handles will biodegrade, while foam brushes can be washed and reused multiple times without causing waste.
When not in use for painting, it can be repurposed as a cleaning brush for small areas.

Batik Fabric Dyes
To make it easier for our customers, all of our batik dyes are ready-to-use and packaged in squeezable clear plastic bottles. No mixing from powder dye is required, hence no frills and no mess!
All bottles include a screw-on flip cap that keeps the bottle leakproof while allowing for simple dispensing.
The material is rigid enough to stand upright while still being flexible enough to squeeze.
When the dyes are used up, simply remove the waterproof stickers, wash the bottles in warm soapy water, and repurpose it to store different liquids.

Collapsible Brush Cleaning Bucket & Sponge
A collapsible plastic bucket is provided for brush cleaning in between paintings.
The bucket is made of durable plastic and has a plastic handle. It is lightweight and foldable, making it ideal for portability.
It is made of transparent plastic, for you to see if the water inside is cloudy and due for a change.
It comes with a water-absorbing sponge, that may be used to absorb excess water from the brush.

Scrap Fabric
Pre-testing your colours on the scrap fabric before painting will help you avoid costly mistakes when it comes to completing your unique piece.
The scrap fabric and batik fabric are made of the same material. We use the same fabric on purpose so that it absorbs, bleeds, and reacts to our dyes in the same way.
Recycled Kraft Card Box
Our products come packaged in a custom-made, reusable kraft box with a high-quality designed box sleeve.
We custom-made our boxes to ensure they are the correct size, hence reducing waste. In our effort to be an eco-conscious and sustainable company, we intentionally opt for recyclable and reusable boxes.
